That is very, very cool.

Wow! Your very own stormtrooper. How ridiculously cool. Is it you inside it?

# Simon Snorkeller responded on 21st January 2005 with...

Amazing what you can do with three sheets of A2 white card and a black marker pen…!

# Malarkey responded on 21st January 2005 with...

WOW Colly, that’s even better than John Oxton‘s Jabba The Hut costume… (What? You’re telling me that’s NO costume!)

# John Oxton responded on 21st January 2005 with...

Thanks Malarkey

Ooh, Malarkey - that was harsh. He-he.

John: Stick Malarkey in a gold bikini and dangle him over the Sarlacc pit.

Snorkeller: Great to have you pop by. Missed you. Missed you a lot.

Mark and James: Yes, I couldn’t help but show off.

That’s pretty cool. I’ve always wanted one of those. How much did it set you back?

# Derek Featherstone responded on 22nd January 2005 with...

Wow. Absolutely love it. Speechless.

Who knew?

It was shipped from America, and cost around $900. It’s an exact replica, arriving in kit-form, ready (and easy) to put together. It is perfect, right down to the boots - you just need to wear your own black clothing underneath the body armour.

Just one problem with it. It isn’t mine. I borrowed it off the next-door neighbour. He came ‘round to borrow a spanner, then I went ‘round to borrow a Stormtrooper.

Still, can’t tell you how much I enjoyed putting it on (surprisingly quick process) and strolling up and down the street. Scared the cat half to death.

Sorry only the one photo. He says I can borrow it any time, so expect a few more “Stormtrooper in amusing daily life situation” photos in the future.

“...expect a few more œStormtrooper in amusing daily life situation” photos in the future.”

That’s IT! I want to see Stormtrooper by the lions in the square, or Stormtrooper clubbing it in Notts City Centre… fantastic! Do it now!

Blimey you go on holiday, and the BritPack get all nasty abusive in your absence. Malarkey - thy need to be healed by my healing ‘nice’ presence.

I’d love to see ‘Stormtrooper Driving Test’ or ‘Stormtrooper passport photo’. See what you can do Colly…

# Malarkey responded on 24th January 2005 with...

Now I’m feeling all glum, but excited at the thought of Mr. Hicks ‘healing’ me…

Mr. Oxton is fine with my bating and has promised faithfully to wear his costume for the next Brit Pack meeting. Me? I’ll be dressed in my Slave Girl outfit…

# Simon Collison responded on 25th January 2005 with...

I might borrow the outfit for the Web Standards conference in June - specifically for the “heckling Malarkey’s lecture” routine, or for popping down the pub.

Alternatively, I might just turn up as a scruffy git from up North, so you’ll recognise me.
