Simplified Standards logo contest

Coming very soon to your browser wil be Simplified Standards, a collaborative site from several well-known bloggers eager to bring some clarity and simplicity to the minefield of web standards and accessibility. I won’t say any more about the aims and objectives right now, but I can confirm that we need a logo. If you’re interested in submitting a design, read on.

Rather than design a logo “in-house”, I thought it’d be interesting to invite submissions from you lot. The winning design will be used on the site and all associated publicity, and a permanent credit will appear in the footer of the website. The winner will also receive a CollyLogic goody-bag which will include some cool stuff.

Criteria

I’m not setting any colour, font, or look and feel specifics, but the logo must respect the following:

1. Must echo the project’s name - Simplified Standards
2. Must be delivered as a 300dpi print-quality file and also a 250px width gif
3. Ideally, the format will be landscape, so 250px width by up to 120px height
4. Must be legible - simplicity is the buzzword here

The other details

Colly’s decision is final, so basically I’ll choose the one I like the best. The best three will be featured on this site too. The closing date is 25th June, so get your skates on. Good luck, and thanks.
