2013 was the year of the Snake
2013 (MMXIII) is a common year that started on a Tuesday, and it is the current year. In the Gregorian calendar, it is the 2013th year in the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations; the 13th year in the 3rd millennium and the 21st century; and the 4th of the 2010s.
Another end-of-year reflection for future me to enjoy. It was an incredible year in which I pretty much sorted my life out. Most notably, I turned 40, and got engaged!
Personally, I considered 2013 to be an incredible year for good music. I was at times overwhelmed and consumed exactly eighteen tonnes of new sounds and bought too much vinyl probably.

I awake to a beautiful Summer’s morning in the Boboli District. The heat has me out of bed unusually early, and I find myself on our balcony garden, looking across the terracotta rooftops of Florence.
